Jose Guerrero

Jose Guerrero: Jose is a librarian based in northern California. He is a rare materials cataloger at the Sutro Library, a branch of the California State Library located in San Francisco, CA. Jose received his MLIS from Wayne State University’s School of Library and Information Science in 2016 and previously worked in the antiquarian book trade. His interests include print and handwritten ephemera of the late 20th century and the history of libraries and books in Latin America. His research on the relocation of the private libraries of Latin American intellectuals to U.S. institutions is forthcoming in the edited volume The Collector and the Collected, published by Library Juice Press. Recent work has also appeared in or is forthcoming from The Book Club of California Quarterly and Library Trends.
